Dr Souad is CEO of IEL International, an interdisciplinary scholar, woman development and youth empowerment expert with over 15 years’ experience in learning and development in the UK; she has taught on Doctoral, MSc, MA and MBA programmes. Souad and her team at IEL International specialize in co-developing capability building programmes and partnerships with world-class executive education providers and leading UK universities for MENA’s governments, businesses, universities, and other organizations to make sustainable impact in a fast-changing global world.

Her former executive roles include Chairperson, Adviser to Board of Directors, Governor, Board member of Trustees and Leader of International Projects Group. Souad has completed her High-Impact Leadership Development in the University of Cambridge and the Advance HE (formerly, the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education), UK.

She is a keynote speaker passionate about sustainable leadership, creating inclusive workplaces, capacity building programmes and training women and youth in employability and leadership development. She has delivered keynotes speeches and workshops in Arabic/ English globally including in Atlanta (USA), Florida (USA), Stockholm (Sweden), Gotenberg (Sweden), Avesta (Sweden) and several UK cities to name a few.

She has designed, developed and led programmes at different levels for academia and for training and development. She has extensive expertise in social science Qualitative research methods and was selected to lead the Doctoral Research Methods collaborative programme for the University of Westminster in London, UK and Haaga-Helia in Helsinki, Finland.

Her multidisciplinary research includes women leadership development with a focus on top management career trajectories in the MENA region; Knowledge Management; and Human and Sociotechnical considerations of new technology adoption in multinational companies. Her work has been published at international conferences and in refereed academic and management journals. She is currently working on a project titled: Understanding Barriers & Enablers to Women’s Leadership Development.

Souad is the author of the upcoming book “The Powerful Arab Woman: The How-To Guidebook for Leadership & Success”. The book is based on extensive research, expertise, and numerous interviews with inspirational and influential women including Nobel Peace Prize winners, Government Officials, Business Leaders, CEOs, Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Executive Deans, and Philanthropists across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Souad is a Senior Lecturer in International Business and Knowledge Innovation Management and have taught on Doctoral, MSc, MA, MBA, and undergraduate programmes. She has designed, delivered, and led subjects such as: Communication for Global Business; Leading the Knowledge Based Organisations; People Organisations & Management; Web-enabled Business and Knowledge Innovation Management. She has extensive expertise in social science Qualitative Research Methods and has led research methods at Doctoral, Masters degree and for International collaborative programme.

Dr. Mohamed’s multidisciplinary research interests includes women leadership development with a focus on top management career trajectories in the MENA region; Knowledge Management; Information Systems’ Management, and Human and Sociotechnical considerations of technology adoption. Her work has been published at international conferences and in refereed academic and management journals. Souad has carried out research and co-authored papers with international academic experts from USA, UK and UAE.
